Welcome to DIMEDAY

DIMEDAY is an annual festival held to celebrate the life and music of “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott. Held in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia DIMEDAY brings together metalheads from across the country in the spirit of Dime.

We think it’s an awesome show, but don’t just take our word for it

Finding out about new bands (and seeing bands that I know already) and having an awesome time with friends that I road trip with, people that I see once a year and others that you run into in the pit

Dimeday is a great day out as well as a time to come together and remember one of the greatest guitarists of the 90’s Dimebag Darrell – always a good vibe on the day, Dime is remembered by all the bands by playing at least one of his songs in each and every set. Super well organised by the usual crew, with short load-in and out times for a day of continuous metal and wonderful cold beers poured by stellar staff – always an event on my calendar every year.

Always a changing lineup, gets better every year. Something to look forward to. Like-minded people in one venue creates an intense atmosphere you cannot beat unless you’re at a massive venue, even then it sometimes doesn’t compare! Leaves you counting down “364 days til the next Dimeday, HELL YEAH!”

The people, some of the people you only get a chance to see once a year. The music, to be able to see so many Aussie acts jammed into 1 night.

To have this event in our local area, because it is hard to travel to see such a great variety of music, mostly because it is our local tribute to a great talent.

Informal, fun and friendly. Music is great and the crowd is greater. Take the chance to see some of our great country and experience music that would have made Dimebag proud. Wacken is just too damn crowded and too far away. Raise the horns for Wagga!
